The innkeepers, Kay and Tony Holt, are deeply committed to making guests feel comfortable and to introducing guests to the area’s many attractions. They are knowledgeable about the history of the house and the area.

Proximity to the University of Connecticut (about 3-4 miles) brings to guests many activities including, but not limited to, the following: museums, concerts, summer theater, UCONN ice cream and UCONN basketball! Aside from the attractions of the University, "The Quiet Corner" has much to offer those in search of a change of pace.

The hosts of The Fitch House are ready to help you arrange interesting hikes, tennis or golf at local sites, gourmet dining at local restaurants, trips to Old Sturbridge Village or Mystic Seaport, antiquing expeditions and more.

Guests can congregate in a large living room where there are snacks and beverages available at all times. In addition, there is an Empire-style music room/library with a Steinway piano and a spacious solarium where breakfast is served. Guests can also enjoy the grounds which include a formal, yet comfortable, classical garden.

*The Adams and Fitch Rooms can be connected through the bathroom to make a two bedroom suite with shared bath.

All room rates are for double occupancy, per night, and include a full country/gourmet breakfast served 7:30-9:00 AM.
Third person in Adams Room is $35 plus tax.
Single occupancy rates are available at 10% off on non-holiday weekdays only.
All rates are subject to Connecticut tax.
Payment in full is required in advance for all reservations and must be received within 6 days of booking to secure room(s).
10 day cancellation notice is required for full payment refund. If cancellation notice is received less than 10 days prior to arrival date, a partial refund will be given only if rooms are re-rented.
