Lovingly furnished, this 130-year-old home, now a Bed and Breakfast Inn, offers its guests comfort and tranquility in a completely smoke-free environment, surrounded by the beauty of the Berkshires and a tradition of poetry and literature.

There is poetry at the very heart of Brook Farm Inn. Discover our Library, the focal point of the Inn, with its extensive collection of poetry, both traditional and contemporary, along with other fine literature...and a good selection of popular books as well. We showcase a poem of the day each morning, and we encourage our guests to browse our collection and find a book to sit and read in front of the Library fireplace, in your room, in the gardens outside, in the hammock or beside the pool.

Our guest rooms have private baths, air conditioning, ceiling fans, phones, and hair dryers. Some have fireplaces, canopy beds, tv's and whirlpool tubs. Handicapped accessible rooms are available. Each is distinctive, but all are warm and intimate, and beautifully appointed with antiques and period pieces. A guest pantry and refrigerator are available.

At Brook Farm Inn, a breakfast buffet awaits you in the morning and English tea with homemade scones, for guests only, is served each afternoon. Our hospitality is unsurpassed. There is no better, or more comfortable, base for enjoying the many cultural and recreational activities the Berkshires can offer year-round.

Throughout your stay hear the strains of Mozart, light opera or Broadway show tunes.

Literature and music are an important part of our inn. "We love the things we love for what they are." Swim in our pool, or relax in the garden hammock and enjoy peace and serenity while harmonies of music and nature float through the trees.

A short leisurely walk from our inn will find you in historic Lenox village where "in the streets are old trees used to living with people." Shop in fine boutiques, find antique treasures or dine in splended restaurants.

The Lenox area has much to offer. "For beauty being the best of all we know," visit Edith Wharton's home, The Mount, Chesterwood, and the Norman Rockwell Museum.

Lenox is an all season area: the color and woodsmoke of autumn, the sparkle of winter lights on glistening snow, with excellent skiing nearby, and spring hiking over mountain paths. In summer, "when evening is spread against the sky," hear the Boston Symphony at Tanglewood, see dance at Jacob's Pillow, enjoy an outdoor Shakespearean play, or a musical comedy at the Berkshire Theatre Festival. Rates and Policies

All rates are based on double occupancy per room.
All rooms have private baths, air conditioning, ceiling fans and phones.
9 rooms have fireplaces
An extra person in your room is $25 per night.
Rates include a full breakfast buffet style and an English tea each afternoon.
Rates are subject to Massachusetts room tax.
During Tanglewood season and on some weekends and holidays during the year, a minimum stay may be required. In Tanglewood season, full payment by check in advance is required to guarantee your reservation. Other times of the year, a one-night deposit is required, and credit cards are accepted.
If a reservation is cancelled at least 15 days (30 days during July & August) prior to the arrival date, your deposit will be refunded less a $25.00 cancellation fee per room.
If a reservation is cancelled or changed less than 15 days (30 days during July & August) prior to the arrival date, including late arrival and early departure, you are responsible for the full value of the reservation. If we are able to re-book the room(s), we will refund the re-booked portion, less a $25.00 cancellation fee per room.
We cannot accommodate pets or children under 15.
We are a non-smoking establishment. Smoking is not permitted anywhere in the Inn, nor on the grounds. Guests who do not comply will be held responsible for the cost of restoring the room to a smoke-free condition.
As a courtesy to other guests, cell phones may be used only in the privacy of your room.
Check-in begins at 3:00 p.m. If you plan to arrive after 7:00 p.m., please call, so that we can make special arrangements for you.
Check-out is at 11:00 a.m.
