The Oxford House Inn is located in the center of the village of Fryeburg, Maine.It was built in 1913, as a stately home for Charles & Blanche Fox. They had this building designed by the famous Maine architect JOHN CALVIN STEVENS.In 1985, John & Phyllis Morris moved in and made renovations.
Over the years, the inn has gained a reputation as one of the Valley's best gourmet dining spots and also as a comfortable inn for travelers, vacationers & business people.Rated 3 diamonds by AAA , the inn has a 50 seat restaurant (open to the public) and also 4 elegant guest rooms with private baths for overnight lodging.

The inn is surounded by mountains, lakes & rivers with year-round activities nearby: hiking, biking, skiing, canoeing, boating, fishing, antiquing, golfing, outlet shopping and scenic walks & drives through the White Mountain National Forest. Wildlife, waterfalls, nature, picnics, photography and quiet walks abound!
Each of the four spacious overnight guest rooms is tastefully decorated with turn-of-the-century furnishings. All rooms have private baths with king, queen or double beds, cable TV, & Air Conditioning. There is no smoking at the Inn. |

Overnight guests are served a superb
breakfast in a glassed-in dining room that
overlooks the White Mountains and the Saco River Valley.
Refreshing, and oftentimes surprising, is the fabulous food here at the Inn. Breakfast is included with each room night, and is another John Morris masterpiece: scones, blueberry buttermilk pancakes, and French toast stuffed with cream cheese and homemade marmalade and superb eggs Benedict are just a few of his specialties. |
Dining at the Oxford House
Night-time dining at the inn is a special treat with John's endless dinner creations such as: Scallops L'Orange in Puff Pastry, Baby Rack of Lamb with a minted french Dijon Sauce, Veal Steak Stuffed with Danish Blue Cheese, Grilled Pork Tenderloin with a Black Currant Sauce, Chicken with Sherried Maine Crab meat, as well as many other gourmet entree choices. There are many wonderful appetizer choices and all the inn's delicious desserts are home-made by Phyllis.
The Inn's dining room is open Thursday through Sunday in the Winter & Spring and open nightly during the Summer & Fall seasons. Reservations are required for dining & lodging. John or Phyllis will be happy to reserve a table for you or arrange an overnight stay for your vacationing family or friends!
Meals are served in three handsome dining rooms or on the enclosed back porch where there is a great view of the sun setting behind the White Mountains.
The Granite Room Lounge has a full bar, games, darts.books and cable TV. This charming country inn/bed & breakfast is the perfect place to stay when visiting Fryeburg and The White Mountains.

Summer & Fall - 6 to 9pm nightly
Winter & Spring - 6 to 9pm Thurs. - Sunday
Reservations are Required - No Smoking
There is no smoking allowed in our dining rooms.
Our dining rooms are air conditioned in the summer.

DIRECTIONS: From I-95 north, take the Spaulding Turnpike north to Route 16. Follow Route 16 north into Conway. Continue on Route 113 east, then onto Route 302 east. The inn is on the left, 1 mile after the Maine state line. From I-93 south, take Route 112 east to Conway: Follow above directions.
