Recently chosen by Better Homes and Gardens and Architecture magazines as one of the "Prettiest Painted Places" in America, Lafayette Square boasts the largest collection of Victorian homes in the nation, and is designated a National Historic District. A "walk and gawk" tour of the neighborhood is a must.

Thirty-acre Lafayette Park is the oldest city park west of the Mississippi; this Victorian jewel offers a glimpse into St. Louis' past with its original wrought iron fence, gazebos, park house and duck pond. Within walking distance from Napoleon's Retreat are a number of fine restaurants as well.

Uniquely and tastefully decorated, each air conditioned guest room features queen size beds, private baths, cable TV, and private telephones (free local calls).

Guest Information:
  • Room rates range from $85.00 to $125.00 per night, double occupancy, plus tax. Single, corporate, government and extended stay discounts are available. Additional guests per room $10.00 per night.  Rates and charges are subject to change without notice.
  • Beautifully appointed rooms with private baths, queen size beds, cable TV, private telephones (no charge for local calls), clock radios, air conditioning, fine soaps and robes. Full gourmet breakfast served in dining room.
  • Advance reservations are recommended. Valid credit card, cash or personal check is required to confirm your reservation and guarantee your arrival. All major credit cards are accepted.
  • Cancellations
    Notice by noon five days in advance of your scheduled date is required to cancel your reservation, otherwise you may be charged the first night's deposit. Holiday weekends, special events and extended stay reservations may require up to 14 days cancellation notice.
  • Check-In Time
    3:00 to 6:00 p.m. unless otherwise arranged. Please advise us if a late arrival is expected or a scheduled check-in is delayed to later in the evening.
  • Check-Out Time 
    11:00 a.m.
  • In consideration of others, we request that there be no pets or smoking inside the Inn. Smokers are welcome to smoke in the garden courtyard.
