The inn was commissioned to be built in 1867 by S. A. Harrison as a family summer vacation cottage. It was designed and built in the Italianate style, complete with cupola, by the renowned architect, Stephen Decatur Button. After being retained as a private summer residence in the late 1800's and early 1900's, the cottage then served as a restaurant and guest house for many years.
We are conveniently located in the Historic District on a quiet, tree lined street-one block from the beach and the Victorian Mall, close to many fine restaurants and shops in the midst of quaint Victorian architecture. Enjoy walking and biking to the antique shops, art galleries, the restored Physick Estate, take a trolley tour, a historical walking tour, or view the interiors of several Victorian homes open to the public.

OUR PARLOR AND SITTING ROOM
A comfortable combination of period Victorian furnishings, quaint lace curtains and a unique fireplace to enjoy on those cool fall evenings. These are the rooms in which to chat with other guests, read that interesting novel, to play games or cards, and play our piano.
OUR DINING ROOM
Enjoy a full hot breakfast by candlelight, served buffet style in our cozy dining room or outside on our side veranda during the warmer months.
OUR VERANDA AND GARDEN
A very special place to relax and enjoy the cool sea breezes - amidst wicker, rockers and a romantic old-fashioned porch swing. In the garden you can enjoy nature's beauty while listening to the gentle soothing sound of flowing water from our fountain.
OUR APARTMENT
Lovely second floor apartment located on Washington Street across from the Physick Estate. Short walk to shops and restaurants. It is one bedroom with queen size bed and full bath. The living room has cable TV and small kitchen. AC in the summer and heat in the winter. Not Victorian decor! Available on weekly basis in the Summer and Fall, long weekends at other times.
