The Mill House
Bed and Breakfast
Grand Rapids, Ohio
The Coziest Little Bed and Breakfast
in Grand Rapids
Once a working, steam powered mill, The Phoenix Roller Mill,
as it was known, produced "Stumps Best" flour. It was built in 1898 from locally
quarried stone and brick from the village brickyard. Today it overlooks the Miami
& Erie Canal and the Maumee River, one of Ohio's
scenic rivers, and is the home of The Mill House Bed and Breakfast.
The floors and walls of The Mill House were once
covered in dust from long days of milling. Today the rooms are clean and inviting, ready
for modern day travelers in search of excitement or a relaxing evening. Enjoy the
atmosphere and let your mind wander to those bygone days when horses pulled wagon loads of
grain for milling and men carried heavy bags of grain and flour to and fro.
