Plum Pudding Inn
Bed and Breakfast

Elysburg, Pennsylvania

A Bed and Breakfast experience, when it's time to take
a break from the ordinary!

Our Aim is to recreate an old world atmosphere of graciousness and hospitality, yet provide our guests with modern conveniences, for their pleasure and edification.

With a Master's Degree in Art History and training experience from a world renown NYC hotel, along with Fred's carpentry expertise and creativity, we have tried to replicate historical themes that appeal to ones sense of the nostalgic. Therefore, we invite you to come into our "Victorian" Parlor for cards, reading, or a game of chess. If relaxation is in order, try our private backyard swimming pool, or indulge your self in a refreshing whirlpool in our "Roman Bath" , or schedule a rejuvenating massage!

Our Rooms:

The "Pompadour", named after the Eighteenth Century Courtesan whose exquisite taste gave the Rococo it's place in history.  The "Oriental" room reflects the cultures from the Near and Far East and any in between.

Perhaps, it is the whimsical *Victoria" room, the placid "Lady Hamilton", or the "Gibson Girl" room, with a Sleigh bed "Built for Two!" that appeals to you.  No matter which room you choose all have Air Conditioning/Heat, TV & VCR's and Orthopedic mattresses for your comfort. Three of the rooms have half baths.

Wake up and savor the aroma of freshly baked bread one of which may be Black Russian Rye, Sauerkraut or the house specialty, Banana Nut Bread from our "French Country" kitchen.

Then feast on a hardy breakfast of your choice and served in our formal "English" Dining room.

What to Do:

Play at KNOEBEL"S park. Have fun on the Broken Wheel Bison Ranch, Spend a day at the Flea or Farmer's Markets. Go shopping for Antiques, visit a museum (Joseph Priestley House), visit a university (Bloomsburg, Bucknell, or Susquehanna), go for a walk, play golf, go Fishing, Hunting, Boating or Hiking, go to a movie or a theater. Have fun on an old fashion Hayride! Take in a Festival at the Rohrbach farms and water skii on the Susquehanna River. No matter what you do you'll enjoy!
