Newly constructed in 2004, House Mountain Inn offers 15,000 square feet of rustic elegance. Set in 1,000 pristine wooded acres on the slopes of House Mountain (just west of Lexington, Virginia), you'll feel like you've escaped the city and stepped into a gorgeous and relaxing lodge in the Canadian Rockies.

The great room, with its soaring two-story fieldstone fireplace, is the center of the lodge and a wonderful place to gather with family, friends, or new acquaintances. It's here that your hosts, the Irvines, serve a wine and cheese reception every afternoon at 4:00. If you desire, you can relax in the great room or dining room and enjoy a catered four-course dinner for an additional cost. |
The nine spacious guest rooms and suites feature fine linens, plush towels, Gilchrist & Soames bath products, satellite TVs, and CD players. You'll feel totally pampered! Equipped with work areas including desk, telephone, voice mail, and high-speed internet access our rooms enable you to be productive during you stay if you choose. Most rooms also boast a gas fireplace and either an indoor Jacuzzi or a steaming outdoor four-person hot tub.
Room Rates range from $187 to $350
Room rates are per night and are based on double occupancy and include guest room
accommodations, breakfast, dinner, and afternoon wine and cheese hour daily, hiking, and
fishing. Please contact us for single occupancy rates, charges for children 12 and older
and extra adults sharing a room.
A hearty gourmet breakfast is served each morning in a cozy dining room adjacent to the great room.
Wake to the tantalizing aroma of baking muffins and brewing coffee. Enjoy a delicious hot entrée, fresh fruit and juice, and the homemade specialty of the day. Elegant and plentiful, our breakfasts will leave you satisfied and ready to explore the charms of lovely Lexington.
Dinner
Our Robert E. Lee Dining room provides a warm ambiance
with natural wood and a breathtaking mountain views. We welcome you to an
intimate dining experience that will go beyond all expectations in unforgettable
surroundings. All dishes are made with the freshest ingredients, homemade sauces and
entrees are prepared at the time of your order.
Our three course dinner consists of appetizer, entrée, non-alcoholic beverage,
and dessert, and is served from 6:00 to 8:00 daily. Advance reservations are
required for evening dining. Non-Inn staying guests are always welcome, please call for a
reservation.
