When you retire to your room - all named for former inhabitants of the 1800s - you'll be surrounded by the feel of country living. Our antique bedsteads are dressed with country quilts or light-as-a-feather comforters. Some rooms are hand stenciled, others have exposed beams and lofts. For your convenience, all our rooms have private baths. |
Our common rooms are intimate and inviting. Relax in front of a fire in our great room - once the barn - which was added to the parsonage in 1839. In the mornings, follow the scent of fresh brewed coffee to the dining room where a former state senator's family gathered for their daily meals. You can curl up with a good book in our intimate sitting room. A mug of spiced Vermont cider and fresh baked cookies complete the scene in the fall and winter.
For breakfast you may choose from a
menu of 14 delicious items
all prepared by our chef.
The Waitsfield Inn is only ten minutes from the Sugarbush and Mad River Glen ski areas. Killington and Stowe are within an hour's drive. Together these premier ski resorts offer hundreds of runs of all degrees of challenge. For cross country skiers, there are four centers nearby.
